James’ 18th birthday present guitar up for auction
Ahead of James and Sean’s Patagonian trek in November for Cardiff’s Velindre Cancer Centre, James is auctioning off the guitar given to him for his 18th birthday by his mum and dad to raise still more money for the centre.
Place bids for this unique piece of Manics history by tweeting @velindre with your bid before the auction closes at 17.00 Wednesday 22nd July.
“It was used on the albums ‘Generation Terrorists’ (to the fore on ‘Little Baby Nothing’), ‘Everything Must Go’, on my solo album ‘The Great Western’, ‘Send Away the Tigers’ and ‘Rewind the Film’. I have also used this as a writing guitar on songs such as ‘Life Becoming a Landslide’, ‘An English Gentleman’ and ‘Anthem for a Lost Cause’. And it comes with the original Guns and Roses sticker!” – James Dean Bradfield.
